Robert was the son of Robert Mackie and Sarah Finch. He came to the United States in 1886. He married Katherine Elizabeth Bissett on 04 Oct 1888. Their children were Sarah, Mame, Arthur, Robert A, Bert V, Alfred J, and Edward.
