Charles B. Replogle, MD 1927-2000

Charles B. Replogle, M.D., 73 died May 12 at his home in Great Bend. He was born April 28, 1927, at Cottonwood Falls, the son of Sidney B. and Helen Burnett Replogle. He married Lois Lacy on March 6, 1955, at Iola. A resident of Great Bend since 1955, coming from Ellis, he was a physician who retired in December, 1993.

Replogle was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ; Sigma Nu Fraternity; Nu Sigma Nu Medical Fraternity; Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society; Kansas Medical Society; American Medical Society; Charter member of American Academy of Family Practice Physicians; former chief of staff of Central Kansas Medical Center; former USD 428 school board member; former director of American State Bank; former member of Zeredatha Masonic Lodge 80 of Cottonwood Falls; member of Golden Belt Country Club; Great Bend Hunting club; Quail Unlimited; and Ducks Unlimited. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Steven Replogle of Wichita; three daughters, Jane Barber of Overland Park, Susan Debra and Anne Kutina, both of Great Bend; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Shore and Burnett Galle.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. William F. Johnson officiating, Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-0 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Monday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home in Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to Central Kansas Medical Center Foundation or the church, both in care of the funeral home.
