"Tee Wee"
A lifelong Gary resident was born on November 10, 1953 in Drew, MS to Robert Britton and Robbie Britton. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Britton and son Antoine N. Cooper. Hattie served in the Vietnam Conflict and was proud of her service in the U.S. Air Force. She was a former employee of U.S. Steel Corporation and the U.S. Postal Service. Hattie enjoyed singing in the choir at Clark Road M.B. Church until her health began to fail. She was a member of New Mt. Sinai Church. She is survived by her mother Robbie L. Britton, son Alexander N. Cooper ; sister Gloria Britton-Ellis of Kansas City, MO; 2 brothers Rev. Robert Britton of Panama City, FL and Michael (Teresa) Britton of Merrillville, IN; 3 grandchildren Antoine, Jalen and Jebri Cooper; homemaker Oletha Champman and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday September 24, 2010 12-8:00 p.m. Family hour 6-7:00 p.m. Funeral service Saturday September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 W. 11th Ave. Rev. Edward Turner officiating.
