William Thomas "Tom" Grigsby, 73, of Fayetteville, died September 7 in Fayetteville City Hospital. Born February 1, 1906, at Venus, he was the son of Jack and Frances Reynolds Grigsby and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He was a retired self-employed truck driver, under lease to Jones Truck Lines. He had lived in the area for 47 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Marie Fredrick Grigsby of the home; one son, Leon Thomas with the U.S. Navy, stationed at Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Ketron of Rogers, Mrs. Rose Marie Harris of De Queen, and Mrs. Kaye Rousseau of Springdale; two sisters, Mrs. Primmie Bingham of Bismarch and Mrs. Zillah Stewart of Alamogordo, New Mexico; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, September 10, in Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville with the Rev. A.D. Stuckey and the Rev. Phillip L. Misenheimer officiating. Burial was in Sons Chapel Cemetery.
