Ragnhild Ronnie E. Ahlfont, devoted aunt and career woman, passed peacefully on September 22, 2010 at the age of 86. She was born September 30, 1923 to Emelia (Svensen) and Erik Ahlfont, both immigrants from Sweden. Ronnie was born and raised in Randolph and was a member of the Stetson High School class of 1942. After graduation, she began a lifelong career with John Hancock Insurance Co where she was a loyal employee for 43 years until her retirement. She was a devoted daughter, sister, cousin, friend and aunt to her many nieces and nephews whom she cared for as if they were her own, spending almost every weekend with them taking them to the beach in the summer, into town for school clothes, always to Jordan Marsh for the holiday display and lunch at Jimmys. Always thinking of others she was the best Aunt to all of us, and will be forever in our hearts. Ronnie enjoyed traveling and exploring the world which she did several times a year with family and close friends. She also loved bowling, bingo, beaching, lobsters and Manhattans. Ronnie is predeceased by her four siblings, John Ahlfont, Erika Johnson, Hulda Ahlfont, and Ebba Gareau. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period Saturday morning from 10:30 and to 11:30 a.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial in Central Cemetery, Randolph.
