Thelma Hamby Barker, 90, was born to the late A.B. (Ben) and Mamie Hamby on August 27, 1920 and died on September 22, 2010. She had two children, Thomas (Tony) Barker deceased and Dora Bryant of Greer; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She had six sisters and four brothers all deceased except the sister she lived with, Wilma Yearwood of Greenville. Mrs. Barker also had nieces and nephews that she loved like they were her own.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Mountain View Cemetery conducted by Rev. Walter Wood. Visitation will be held at 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2010 at Wood Mortuary. The family will accept visitors at Ricky and Dora's home at 415 Boiling Springs Road, Greer, S.C. 29650.
