Fred "Fritz" Kirchner

Kirchner Fred “Fritz” of Union Twp., peacefully at home on Friday, June 27, 2008, age 92.

Husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Kirchner; beloved father of Iva Romano, Marjorie, Rohdi (Regis), Mary Kay English (Edward), Donald "Trux" Huttig (Darlene), Ronald Kirchner (Janet), Kathy Cerar (Robert), Mark Kirchner (Janice) and the late Joey Lynn; brother of the late James and Earl Kirchner; also 20 grandchildren; 21 great grand children and five great great grandchildren.

Fritz was a US Army veteran during WWII, a member of the 11th Engineering Corp. "Jungle Cats" and a Bronze Star recipient. He was also a member of the Peters Creek Baptist Church for over 50 years and a 70 year member of the Plumbers Local #27.

Visitation Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road, (Rt. 88), Library. Funeral service Wednesday 11 am in Peters Creek Baptist Church, 6300 Library Rd., South Park, PA 15129. Contributions may be made to the church or to the Washington City Mission.
