Everett "Mike" Milton Beaver, 93, passed away Sept. 9, 2010, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.

Mike was born April 18, 1917 to Lou and Jane (Aleana) Beaver in Wadena. Mike spent his entire lifetime in the Verndale area working the family farm area except for his time in the military. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening and watching the Minnesota Twins. Mike served in the Army stationed in India from 1939 to 1946.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 13, at the United Methodist Church in Verndale with the Rev. Jill Palowski officiating. Military honors were provided by the Elmer Goche Post 3922, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Wadena. The pallbearers were Gary Beaver, Allan Anderson, Craig Beaver, Jacob Mitchell and Randy Beaver. Interment was in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Verndale. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena and Verndale (www.johnsonmemorialhome.com).

Survivors include his sister, Ruth Beaver of Verndale; brother, Don (Bernice) Beaver of Verndale; sister-in-law, Jeanne Beaver of Verndale; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucille Anderson and Meave Beaver; and brothers, Leonard, Pete and Vernon Beaver.
