DEATH TAKES BlSHOP'S WIFE

Services to Be Conducted Sunday Afternoon In Tenth Ward

Mrs. Sarah Ann Pledger 48, wife of bishop Arthur G. Pledger of the LDS Tenth Ward died suddenly Thursday at eight-fifteen p.m. following a lung hemorrhage.
Mrs. Pledger had supposedly been in perfect health all day and had called Mr. Pledger at his work to come home for dinner just a few minutes before she was stricken. A physician and
tho fire department inhalator squad were called, but their efforts at resuscitation, carried on for nearly half an hour, proved fruitless.

Mrs. Pledger was born in Pleasant View, Weber County, November 1, 1891, a daughter of David and Sarah Ann Thomas Johns. She was married to Mr. P1edger in the Salt Lake LDS. temple December 15, 1915. The couple had planned to spend their anniversary today in temple work.

She had been a church worker all her life, having been secretary of the Sunday School and primary association, a religion class teacher while residing in Pleasant View, and a counselor of the Primary association presidency in the Tenth ward of Ogden. She was second counselor in the ward Relief society presidency at the time of her death. Surviving are her husband and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Glenna Allen of Slaterville; Donna Pledger, now teaching school at Alton; Meriam, Helen, Arthur and Robert Pledger all of Ogden; and three sisters; Miss Diana Johns of Pleasant View, Mrs. Margaret J. Orton and Mrs. Elizabeth J. Shaw, both of Ogden.

Services will be conducted Sunday at three PM in the Tenth ward chapel by Counselor Newell Snarr. Friends may call at the family home, 329 Eighth, Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday until two-thirty p.m. Larkin & Sons mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
