Marie was born February 15, 1919 in Shreveport and entered into rest September 23, 2010 in Mansfield.
Marie was a well-known businesswoman in Cotton Valley managing Hooten's Supply Store for fifty years and Hooten's Water System for thirty years. She lived with a spirit of understanding, forgiveness, and strength from the promises of her Lord. Her favorite scripture is known as " the Love Chapter" (1 Corinthians Ch.13). She honored her children and grandchildren with the gift of music. "Granree's" legacy is that she lived what she believed and that all things are possible with God and a little sense of humor.
Her parents C. L. Arnold and Martha L. Cornish Arnold preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Larry Hooten of Cotton Valley, daughter LaNese Bedsole and husband Travis of Mansfield, grandchildren Adrianne Dean, Aaron Wilson, Anna Marie Beagley, great-grandchildren Riley Dean and Sophia Dean.
Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Bill Beagley, Robert Coleman, Charlie Jackson, Frank Brown and Billy Dalrymple.
