Lt. Col. George P. Arnold, 75, Marietta, died Thursday. Services was held in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Harris officiating.
Born in Bernidji, Minn., Mr. Arnold was raised in Minot, N.D. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and retired in 1966. He moved to Cobb County in 1963 and retired from the Georgia Department of Education.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Arnold; three daughters, Sandra Arnold of Columbia, Md., and Cynthia Goodell and Phyllis Jackson, both of Marietta; son-in-law, Jon Goodell of Marietta; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
