Died at age 88. Devoted husband of the late Virginia. Survived by his 7 children James Thomas (Natalie), Robert (Susan),Richard (Sally), Eileen (Gene) Kaczynski, Jeanne Evensen, Mary (Dennis) Macaluso, Virginia (Brian) Pfeifer, 26 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. James proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII aboard the William P. Biddle. He carried out the deployment of Marines in Pacific, European and North African campaigns guaranteeing the success of those operations.

James was recognized for 35 years of service to the Gulf Corp. refinery in Island Park, He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oceanside, Sergeant in the Nassau County Auxiliary Police Dept., and member of the Omega Gamma Delta Fraternity, Beta Gamma Chapter.
