Funeral Held

Zoe N. McDonald, 78, of St. Louis died Sunday, January 21 at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis. Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 25, at the McDonald-Chase Cemetery in Douglas township, with Rev. Byron Ayers officiating.

The daughter of Tom and Belle Webster McDonald, Miss McDonald was born in Madison County on October 9, 1900. A Presbyterian, she was a lifetime resident of St. Louis where she was employed as a nurse for 30 years and also as a claims adjustor for Etna Life Insurance. She was president of the Clayton Golden Age Club from 1977-78.

Survivors include seven cousins: Loran Laizure of Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Katherine Sawyers, Mrs. Blanche Easter, Mrs. Eunice Hann, Mrs. Esther Groth and Mrs. Eathel Eyerly, all of Winterset, and Lucian McDonald of Laramie, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
