Funeral services for Alford Jack Atnip, 92, were held Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithvilie, TN. Bro. Dan Gulley officiated with burial following at Bonham Cemetery.
Mr. Atnip passed away at DeKalb Hospital, Friday April 14, 2006. Mr. Atnip was a farmer and a retired bus driver in Smithville. Mr. Atnip was also a member of the Parker Hill Church of Christ.
Mr. Atnip was preceded in death by his parents; Tom & Harrietta Reeder Atnip and his wife, Zada Page Atnip.
Mr. Atnip is survived by his two daughters; Hattie Farless and Brenda Green both of Smithville, five grandchildren; Jackie Farless of Smithville, Ricky Stacey of Manchester, Angela Thiele of Smithville, Jacquline Jones of McMinnville and April Chapman of Smithville, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers; Gene & Auval Atnip, W.J. Page, Billy Hale, Lewis Cantrell and Tony Chapman.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
