Chief Officer Kathleen Ackerley Women's Royal Naval Service was the daughter of Harold Ackerley and Eleanor Ackerley nee Mills of Birkenhead. She died of an accident whilst on active service and was laid to rest at Flaybrick Hill Cemetery aged 46.

Kathleen was entitled to be awarded the British WW2 medals.

Commemorated in perpetuity by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
