Ellen P. Harren, 74, of Green Avenue Tower, Apt. 401, died unexpectedly at 8 a.m. Monday,Dec. 9, 1991, at her home.
She was born July 11, 1917, in Glasgow, the daughter of John and Bertha (Gallagher) Igou, and was twice married: first to Frank Barney, who died in 1940, then to John Harren, who died Aug. 26, 1964.
Surviving are four children: John F.Barney,Francis D. Barney, Katherine E. Stein and John W. Harren of Altoona, and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Harren was a member of the Independent Bible Church.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 10 a.m. thursday at Mauk &U Yates Funeral Home, Juniata.
