Harve Whitt, 84, of Jamboree, Ky.., died Sunday, August 27, 1967, at his home after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday at the home of a son, Floyd Whitt of Jamboree, by the Rev. Willie Daughtery and Rev. Claude Conn. Burial will be in the Hatfield Cemetery at jamboree.
A retired timberman, he ws born May, 1883 at Jamboree, a son of the late Jake and Betsy Wolford Whitt. His wife was the late Laura Whitt. Other survivors include one other son Wilbur Whitt of Freeburn, Ky; 3 daughters Mrs. Frona Dotson of Freeburn, Mrs. Lona Roberts of Monroe, Michigan, and Mrs. Sibble Estep of Bartley, West Virginia, a brother John Whitt of Jamboree; three sisters Mrs. Pricie Daugherty of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Margaret Jackson of Dayton, Ohio; and Mrs. Octavia Pruitt of Paw Paw, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
