Ada May Layman, the daughter of Francis Marion Layman and Margaret Anna "Maggie" Green, was born on May 21, 1883 in Grayson County, Kentucky. She was the wife of Samuel Tilton Nix, the son of John Isaac and Mary (?) Nix. He was born on June 10, 1878 in Kentucky. They were the parents of Hattie Belle, born on January 7, 1910; and Jennie Margaret, born on August 23, 1914. Her husband died in Jefferson County, Kentucky on October 30, 1960. He was buried as Samuel T. Nix in the Hopewell Church Cemetery in Caneyville, Grayson County, Kentucky. Ada May Nix, joined him there after her death in Jefferson County at the age of 89 on February 7, 1973. They share the same stone.
