29 April 1903: Early this morning, at about 4 o'clock, death claimed one of Jonestown's prominent and most highly respected citizens in the person of Isaac Gingrich, a retired merchant of that place. For nearly six months deceased was bedfast and during that time bore his pain with great patience. He was 63 years old and a widower. His wife preceded him to the grave about a year ago. Deceased was favorably known throughout the county. He is survived by a brother, Zacharias Gingrich. [Lebanon Daily News]
