His given name was Francesco Luigi Tarantino but in later years began used Frank Louis as his official name. He married Angelina (Anna) civil ceremony on 21 Sept 1907 and a catholic church ceremony on 10 Nov. 1907 - both in New York City.

They had 13 children, 9 daughters and 4 sons:
Sandina Marie Grazia (aka Sue and Susan) Ives, Josephine Natalina (aka Josie) George Morinelli, Maria Antonia (aka Ann M,) Fillman, Mary (died in infancy), Gulienio (aka William and Bill) Pasquale, Clara Schelling, Grace Evelyn Greenwood, Frank George, Lucy Gulia Schaeffer Moody, John Antony, Ellenora (aka Ellie) Gore, Joseph, and Mary Angeline Weyland.
