Virginia Snavely McLana- chan, 89, of Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA, passed away on Monday afternoon at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA. Born in Landisville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Katherine Kreider Snavely, and wife of the late James D. McLanachan, who passed away February 1988. A homemaker, she was a graduate of Lancaster Business College and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Landisville.
Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathryn Sue, wife of the late Dr. James W. Kendig of Palmyra, PA; her granddaughter, Mary Kendig wife of Geoff Lynch of Boulder, CO; and her sister-in-law, Jessie, wife of the late David K. Snavely of Columbia, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at St. Anne's Retirement Community Chapel, 3952 Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA on Friday, October 1, 2010, at 4:00 PM. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA, at the convenience of the family.
