Life was very hard for him as most of his nephews and nieces were his age or a little older. His dad died of cancer when he was 16 years old. When he was 22 he made his was west on a freight train, he spent some time in New Mexico (where his Social Security card was Issued) work at odd cowboy jobs, then into southern Arizona working on the famous Ranch. He worked his way North to Prescott where he met and married Alberta.
After marriage the lived in the Prescott area for until 1958 when the moved to Bagdad AZ., where Jack went to work for the Copper mine. Jack work in the Mill as a Crusher operator until his retirement in April of 1980. In August of 1980 he passed away from Cancer in Bagdad and is buried in the Skull Valley Cemetery in Skull Valley.
