Miss Amelia Ahlers, former resident of Red Wing and a sister of Charles J. Ahlers of this city, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. William Meyer, 3948 Lyndale Avenue, Minneapolis, Saturday night at 11 o'clock. She had been ill the past two months, suffering from heart trouble. She was born in this city on Sept. 10, 1861, and made her home in this city up to 12 1/2 years ago, when she removed to Minneapolis, which had since been her home. While residing here, Miss Ahlers was a faithful and active member of the First Methodist Church. She had many friends in the community, who will be grieved to learn of her passing. Surviving are her two sisters, Mrs. William Meyer, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Frank Scoville, St. Paul; and a brother, Charles J. Ahlers, Red Wing. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Swanson's and Sons Chapel. Rev. C.G. Langley officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Swanson Chapel tomorrow night from 7 to 9 o'clock and Wednesday from 10 am to the time of the services.
