Lexie had three brothers: Lonnie Monroe Tanner Sr., Emory Ambrous Tanner Sr. and Adolphus (Doll) Arnold Tanner. She also had three half brothers and four half sisters.
She married James Monroe Morgan on July 16, 1899 in Weatherford, Texas. Lexie lived most of her life in the Athens, Texas area and was a member of the Ash Baptist Church.
Lexie and James had a daughter, Pearl, born July 3, 1900 and died July 11, 1900. No record has been found of her grave.
She was survived by 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
