Rev. John F. Schliepsiek
Rev. John F. Schliepsiek, 89, of 5727 Fairview, Peoria, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at his residence.
He was born in Pomeroy, Iowa, the son of John and Ida Schmidt Schliepsiek. The Rev. Schliepsiek was a minister of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Surviving are his wife, Enda (sic: Edna), one son, the Rev. Karl Schliepsiek of Sun City Center, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Ferd (Ruth) Osby of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Theo Siek of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Paula Nieting of Chicago; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Peoria, with the Rev. Arthur Schudde officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel.
Davison-Fulton Funeral Home, Peoria, is in charge of arrangements.
