Born in the town of Charlestown July 27, 1931, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Woelfel, he attended Holy rosary Parochial school, New Holstein and New Holstein High School.
He was a member of Holy rosary Catholic church, New Holstein and a member of the Holy Name society. He was employed as a mechanic at the Schaar filling station in New Holstein.
Funeral services were held Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Lambert D. Scanlon officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Survivors are his parents, one brother, Robert, who is in the navy, stationed at Jacksonville, Fla., and four sisters, Mrs. Edmond Konopka, of New Holstein, Mrs. Harold Bennett of Chicago and Carol and Marilyn at home.
