Daughter of William I. Van Zant (1786-1848) and Sophia Kirby Van Zant (1794-1834). Her mother was a native of England. Twice married, first to Thomas T. Beebe (1793-1876) of Altamont, Albany Co., NY. After his death she married Squire Benjamin Van Aernam, the widowed husband of Thomas's late sister, Margaret.
