Lula Hester Goss, age 91, passed away at her home in Prattville, AL on Wednesday, November 20th, 1996. Mrs. Goss was a long time homemaker and beloved mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Jackson (Dewey) Goss and is survived by daughters Sara Ellen Glenn (Glen) of Iuka, MS and Dora Runell (Nell) Nelson (Homer) of Prattville, AL and three sons, Nathan James Goss (Ann) of Asheville, NC, Benjamin Jackson Goss (Marge) of Phoenix AZ and Robert Goss (Joan) of Dothan Al as well as sisters Ida Norris of Opp, AL, Sara Childs of Columbus, GA and Ruth Green of Pensacola, FL, brother Dan Harrison of Iowa, 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Services will be conducted at 2pm November, 23rd at New Hope Baptist Church in Opp, Al with burial following in the church cemetery. Mrs. Goss will be placed in the church from noon until service time and her family will receive friends at the Rideout Prattville Funeral Chapel from 5pm to 8 pm the evening before services.
