The remains of Charles E. Bateman, Sr., were laid at rest Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He was 91 years old and was next to the oldest person in Cedarville, Mr. Eleazer S. Bateman being in his 93rd year. The deceased has been cared for by his son, Addison and wife, for about five years. He was blind and confined to bed and they uncomplaininly gave him their care and attention.
Interment was made at the Old Stone Church cemetery.
