She was born in Posey County in 1934, the daughter of Ernest Hall and Alberta Anderson Hall. She had been an executive secretary to Mount Vernon Mayor Jackson Higgins for 18 years and had served on the works board in both 1983 and again in 1986. She retired earlier this. year because of failing health.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Posey County Democrat Women's Club, and the Owen Dunn American Legion Post No. 5 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, M. Lee, a daughter, Dana Allyn of Mounty Vernon; two sons, Kevin Allyn of Mount Vernon and Dr. Steve Allyn of Springfield, Mo.; Two brothers, Bill Hall and Arthur Hall, both of Mount Vernon and a sister, Juanita Story of Mount Vernon, Ill., also survive as well as five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Hall, who died in 1979.
Funeral services were held on Sat., Sept. 22, 1990, at 2 p.m. at Norvell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Rev. Joe Caraway officiated.
