He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olean and its BOBS Sunday School Class along with its Adult Fellowship. He was also a member of the Olean Aerie 616 FOE, the Olean Eagles Club and the Olean Senior League. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Mill, 3 sons, Howard "Al" Bowersox of York, NY., Kenneth Bowersox of Saratoga, CA., Jack A. Bowersox of Trapp, MD., a daughter, Mrs. Oscar R. (Barbara) Burlingame of Lockport, NY., a brother, Norman Oscar Bowersox of Olean a sister, Mrs. Lester (Martha) Reed of New Bethlehem, PA., and several Nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at the Halwig Funeral Home in Olean on Aug. 5, 1968.
