Will Joe STARR was the first of ten children born to William Burr "W.B." and Elizabeth Elsie (JEFFRYES) STARR. Will Joe was born in a house next to the "new" farm that W.B. was starting.

After various jobs, such as working for the telephone company or teaching in Scranton, Eastland Co., TX, Will Joe became a federal prison guard and began running the prison farm in Texarkana, Bowie Co., TX.

In Wake Village, Bowie Co., TX, outside of Texarkana, Will Joe, with his wife Margaret Rose (HEINEMANN), raised their two children, retired, and lived the remainder of his life.

When Will Joe passed away, Margaret moved to Garland, Dallas Co., TX to be with her son and Will Joe was placed in the Restland Memorial Park.
