Although born in New Orleans, Margaret HEINEMANN was raised in Marshall, Harrison Co., TX where her three siblings were born.

After marrying William Joseph "Will Joe" STARR in Texarkana, Bowie Co., TX (1930), the couple moved to Eastland Co., TX to be near Will Joe's family. At the beginning of WWII, Will Joe became a federal prison guard and the family moved back to east Texas. They lived in Wake Village, Bowie Co., TX until Will Joe passed away in 1982. Margaret moved to various locations in Dallas Co., TX to be near her son until she passed away in 1996.
