ANDERSON, Ind. — Betty V. (Vaughn) Johnson , 82, of Anderson died Oct. 1, 2010, at Marquette Manor in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
She was born April 6, 1928 in Trempleau, Wis. to Oran and Olga (Bergum) Vaughn.
She married Floyd W. Johnson on Dec. 4, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wis. where they lived for 29 years. They moved to Anderson in 1972 where she pursued the toughest job of all- being a stay at home mom and raising her children.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and a charter member of Red Bud Quilt Club.
Survivors include her three children,four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Johnson July 9, 2009; parents, her daughter, Roxanne Sherri Johnson in 1955; one brother, Sonny and 3 sisters, Irene, Jeanette and Gladys.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Donna Madewell officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Christian Center, St. Vincent's Hospice or Madison County Humane Society.
