Arthur D.Apgar,71,native of Easton,died yesterday in his home,38 Olcott Way,Ridgefield,Conn,after a long illness.Born on Feb 11,1903,he was the son of the late Edward A. and Maggie M.Major Apgar.A graduate of Easton High School and Pennsylvania State University,he was a geologist and mining engineer.Surviving are his widow,the former Genevieve Clayton of Denver Colo.:a daughter three sons,a brother,Horace V.of Easton,and 14 grandchildren.Funeral services were held today in Ridgefield.
