Mrs. Opal Koger, 49, 1502 E. 20th St., died at 4 p.m. Thursday at Ball Hospital following an extended illness.
She was the wife of Elbert Koger, who survives. Born in Kentucky, Mrs. Koger had been a resident of Muncie for the past 16 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Parmleysville, Kentucky.
Surviving besides her husband are one daughter, Jewell Irene Smith, Muncie; one son, Junior Ray Koger, Muncie; five grandchildren; one brother, C.A. Foust, Muncie; and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Koger, Miss Maude Foust, and Miss Marie Foust, all of Muncie.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Meeks Mortuary, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.484695
