S. J. (Peck) Strub, longtime Livingston resident, died early Friday morning in Missoula General Hospital after an illness of two months. He was 65.

He was born Dec. 25, 1905, in Langsing, Iowa, son of William and Anna Weipert. At an early age he came to Livingston and had resided here since.

He was employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad here as a machinist for 30 years and retired Dec. 30, 1970. Mr. Strub was a member of the Machinist Local.

He married Mary L. Bouchee Feb. 11, 1933 in Helena.

In addition to his wife, Mary, of Livingston, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Tony Armentaro of Livingston and Mrs. Jack Voris of Boise, Ida.; a son, Jim of Livingston; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Reister of Wabash, Minn., Mrs. Ed Ziref Anaconda and Mrs. Minnie Richardson of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Vie Strub of Tacoma; three grandchildren, Auralee. Lori and Joe, all of Livingston; a great aunt, Hilda Weipert of Livingston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
