Glen E. "Bud" McWilliams, 88, of Olney, died at 7:03 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2001, at Olney Care Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney with Reverend Charles McDonald officiating.
Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. McWilliams was born on March 27, 1913, in Olney, the son of Walter and Gertrude (Inyart) McWilliams.

He married Thelma Bateman on August 22, 1931, in Vincennes, Ind. She survives.

He owned and operated McWilliams Plumbing & Heating and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney.

Mr. McWilliams is survived by his wife, Thelma McWilliams, of Olney; a son, Jim McWilliams and his wife, Glenys, of Lincoln; a sister, Sue Stanley and her husband, Terry, of Carterville; two sisters, Nancy Hahn and Betty Bates, both of Olney; six grandchildren, Lisa and Greg Curry, Jamie and Don Beers, Bruce and Sue McWilliams, Rob and Michaelann Stanley, Randy and Amanda Stanley and Ricky and Becky Stanley; and 10 great-grandchildren, Brian, Chris and Kevin Curry, Andy and Becky Curry, Shawn and Natalie Gleason, Nicole and Ashley McWilliams and Megan and Madeline Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Gene, Alden, Van T. and Hib, and two sisters, Berneice and Geraldine.
