FAYE HELEN NEVERS Jan. 4, 1932 - Sept. 15, 2010

Faye, formerly of Oroville, CA passed away on Sept. 15 while on vacation in Juneau, AK. Faye was born in Ames, OK on Jan. 4, 1932 to Charles and Alice Ross. She graduated from Cherokee High School in Cherokee, OK in 1949. She had eight siblings and is survived by her sister Floralea Jarrett of Bend, OR.

While on vacation in California in 1950 Faye met Hans (Shorty) Nevers. They married later that year in Reno on Sept. 9. They were married for 33 years before Shorty's death in a car accident in 1983. She retired to Corvallis, OR in 1994 after working 41 years for Butte County Title Co.

Faye was proceeded in death by her oldest child David Nevers and is survived by her children, Diann Lytle of Tacoma, WA, Steve Nevers, Sandra Duren and Marcia Moore of Oroville, CA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Glenn, James, Sheila, Rhannon, Robert, Tammy, Amy, Cory, Sam, Jessica, Kandi and twenty great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many cherished friends.

We will miss Faye's unconditional love for family and friends. She was the rock that stabilized our family. She saw the good in everyone through good times and bad. She was a hand for support and a shoulder to cry on. She had a no-nonsense approach to life and a willingness to explore destinations unknown. We will cherish forever the lasting memories created during our time with her.
