Stephen Barnes Dilley was born 24 June 1832 in Delaware Co., OH. He became a Probate Judge and served 2 terms on the Idaho Legislature.
He also taught school in Idaho, and traveled a lot due to his position.
He was married once in Wisconsin, and again in Idaho.
The Bellevue water system began construction in 1887. Authorization of the system was signed by Mayor O. S. Glenn, and by S. B. Dilley, Clerk. Mr. Dilley was also one of the principles in the construction, maintenance, and operation of the system
Judge Dilley became a witness to the killing of J. M. Kinnear, in July, 1890. Mister Kinnear was the Superintendent of the Minnie Moore Mining Company at that time.
Mr. Dilley is buried in Bellevue Cemetery. He died March 3, 1900. (Contributed by [email protected])
