In 1968, she became the librarian at the W.A. Rankin Memorial Library. She held that position for ten years, retiring in December, 1978.
She was a member of the Neodesha Christian Science Church, D.A.R., Wilson County Historical Society, B.P.W., the Norman #1 Museum Board, Sugar & Spice, Friday Book Club, and the Genealogical Society.
