FOUR-YEAR-OLD GIRL DIES OF LUNG TROUBLE. Betty Jo Jones, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Jones of near Steffenville, died Thursday on the way to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hannibal. She had been ill only a few days of influenza, which developed into a lung infection that caused her death. She was born June 27, 1938 in Shelby County. Besides her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Leo, Leroy and Ralph and both her paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Asbury Church southeast of Steffenville, with the Rev. Nelson of LaBelle officiating, to the Asbury Cemetery.
