JOSEPH E. COOLEY, CONDUCTOR, DIES; FUNERAL FRIDAY
Joseph E. Cooley, 56, Wabash conductor, died at 5:15 o'clock this morning in Wabash Hospital following a month's illness.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. G. O. Williams of Hannibal; a grandson, Edward Barry Williams; three brothers, G. B. and O. D. Cooley of Denver, Colo., both engineers for the D & R. G. Railroad, and W. T. Cooley of Moulton, Ia., also a wabash conductor; a sister, Mrs. R. W. Winkler of Mexio; and several nephews and nieces.
His home is at 319 East Rollins street.
Mr. Cooley was born near Darksville and had lived in Moberly 33 years, serving with the Wabash that entire time. He was a member of the Masonic Order, A. F. and A. M. 344, of the B. of R. T. and of the Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church at Darksville.
The body has been taken to the Mahan Funeral Parlors. Funeral services will be held in the chapel there at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning, conducted by the Rev. Joseph Pettie Grant, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Services will be in uder auspices of the Masons. thanks Tom
