"Death Takes Mrs. Oscar Nelson
Mrs. Violet Tarp Nelson, 63, of 6543 Chapin Place, died Friday in a hospital after a long illness. She formerly owned the Green Lake Art Florist Shop.
Funeral services will be at 11 o'clock tomorrow in the Green Lake Funeral Home. Burial will be in Washelli.
Born in Los Angeles, Mrs. Nelson came here in 1898. She retired six years ago after 15 years in the florist business. She was the widow of Oscar M. Nelson.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Green Lake Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Carl and Noel, both of Seattle, and Alfred Nelson, Redondo Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Nelson, Seattle, and Mrs. Jurgen Schmidt, Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Carl J. Tarp, Seattle; a sister, Mrs. Vera Haugen, Milton, Pierce County, and 11 grandchildren."
