Funeral Services were held at the Exeter Hadley chapel Tuesday morning for Mrs. Eva Louise Willis, 68, a well known resident in the Farmersville district for many years, who died at the Exeter Memorial hospital Saturday night.
Mrs. Willis was born in Bolivar in March 1881, and was married to William P Willis at Barren Creek, MO, in 1899. She was the daughter of J. M. Carter of Bolivar.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. W. L. Noell and Mrs. Jessie Reynolds, both of Visalia; four brothers, Andrew Carter, Bolivar, Homer Carter, of Ojai, California, Emmett Carter of Strathmore, California, and Ira Carter of Lindsay, California; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Buchanan of Fair Play, Mrs. Annie Ware of Bolivar and Mrs. Ida Harp of Visalia, California; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Willis was a member of Farmersville Methodist church, and the Farmersville Grange.
Rev. Barrett J Whitely of Strathmore officiated at the funeral and burial was in the Exeter cemetery. Soloists were Mrs. L. C. Avery and Mrs. William Ingrim of Visalia.
Pallbearers were Clark Mitchell, James Kitchell, Gene Pummill, Sherrill Weisenberger, Arlist Carter, John Wigglesworth, Elzy Luna and Clyde Carter. All are nephews of Mrs. Willis.
