MRS. F.M. FULK, 88, DIED SEPTEMBER 14, IN KANSAS
The following obituary is taken from a Haviland, Kansas newspaper:

Sarah Ellen Leach was born May 13, 1849, at Mt. Vernon, Iowa and departed this life, September 14, 1937, aged 88 years, 4 months, and one day. At the age of 19 she moved to Memphis, Mo. She was united in marriage to Francis M. Fulk, December 6, 1874, near Memphis, Mo., where they resided for 13 years, when they moved to Pratt County, Kansas. They lived near Wellsford for 47 years. Her husband passed away in 1924. She had made her home with her daughter Mrs. Grace Davis, near Haviland, Kans., since.

To this union were born two daughters, the oldest passing away in infancy, and Grace who survives her parents.

Besides her daughter and son-in-law, Melvin Davis, she leaves eight grandchildren. The grand children are: Mrs. Verla Parnell and Vern Davis, Haviland; Mrs. Irene Leafdale, Dix, Nebraska; Henry Davis and Mrs. Clarissa Clark, of Wichita; Cora, Olen, and Ralph of the home.

Mother Fulk was converted in her nineteenth year and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Memphis, MO., later changing her membership to the Methodist Episcopal Church at Wellsford where she remained a faithful member until the last.

Another pioneer has gone--her volume of life has been written and the book closed. Her work is done. We shall miss her, but we shall be with her in the home over there.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Loren Kemp of Pratt and former pastor, assisted by Rev. E.T. Ingalls of the Wallsford M.E. Church, on Thursday, September 16. Burial was in the Haviland Cemetery.
