Linda was born in Syracuse NY and moved with her family to Daytona Beach when she was very small. She attended Lenox Avenue Elementary school and Seabreeze Junior and Senior High School. Linda was killed instantly when struck by a hit and run driver as she was crossing the street at the Ocean Center. She is survived by her Mother Mrs Bette Ruigrok, a sister Laurie Lou, a brother James A Borland, a daughter Kerri, and a granddaughter Elaina Lukas all of this city, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her Father, Elmer E.(Rick) Caples, preceeded her in death. Services were at Daytona Beach Baptist Church with the Rev Dan Proctor officiating. Linda was cremated and her ashes strewn over the Ocean that she and her Dad loved so much.
