Robert "Bobby" McKay Dayton

Robert McKay Dayton, 72, returned to his Heavenly father on May 7, 2010. Robert was born August 7, 1937, in Ogden Utah to McKay L. Dayton and Evelyn Mannix Dayton.

Robert married Vonnie Stain October 25, 1963 in Farr West, Utah. He was raised and educated in Ogden. He attended the Utah Deaf and Blind School and continued his education from there. He retired from HAFB after 25 years. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was an Elder and a Boy Scout Leader.

He loved fishing and hunting, but mostly loved spending time with his family. He loved his hunting dogs and his cat spanky. All of his friends were very important to him.

He is survived by his wife Vonnie, children Sherry D. Stoker, Marlene D. Happenny, Robert K. Dayton and Vonnie Jean (Lloyd A.) Maes, all of Ogden Utah. Also one brother Curtis A. (Gae) Dayton, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother Gregory Dean Dayton.

We would like to give our warmest thanks to Intermountain Homecare Hospice and the caregivers at Aspen Care Center for all of their love and support.

Services for Bobby will be held Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 11:00 am at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th St. Friends may greet the family Monday May 10, 2010 from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Aultorest Memorial Park
