Janine A. (nee Herriges) Alvarez, 42, of New Fane, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 22, 2007 in Fond du Lac.

She was born on December 28, 1964, in West Bend, the daughter of Donald and Joyce (Butt) Herriges.

Janine was employed by Precision Cable Assemblies in Brookfield in a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She had a special interest in wolves and Native American culture. Janine will be deeply missed by her family, by all who knew her and especially by her best canine companion, Louie.

Survivors include her parents, Donald and Joyce Herriges of New Fane; two brothers, James (Mary) Herriges of Mt. Calvary and Thomas (Lisa) Herriges of Tomahawk; two sisters, Gayla (Dale) Maas of Campbellsport and Lynelle (Marty) Morse of Adell; two nieces and two nephews, Randy (Kim) Narbatovics, Melisa Narbatovics, Heather (Brad) Oelhafen and Andrew (Rachel) Maas; three great-nephews, James and Jayson Maas and Matthew Oelhafen, other relatives and friends.

Janine was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gerhard and Desta Butt and her paternal grandparents, Math and Leocadia Herriges.

Funeral services for Janine were held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Rev. Mark Eckert officiated and a private burial was held in Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.


Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
