Son of the late John Huffam and Mary Johnson Bloodworth, was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired after 35 years with Federal Paper Compnay and for many years as a farmer in Pender County, NC. He was a member of the Atkinson Baptist Church where his funeral was held on October 4, 2010, with The Rev. Douglas Warnock and The Rev. Ottis King officiating. He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Polly Kelly Bloodworth; son Bennett Kelly Bloodworth (Cammy); daughter, Sheila Bloodworth Ford (Bobby); special niece, Linda Simpson Bingham; grandchildren, Benny Bloodworth, Lyndsey B. Buchanan (Duane), Robert Ford and Leah Ford; great-grandchildren, Lilly Buchanan and Ally Buchanan; sister, Rachel Bell; and an extended family of relatives and friends. He was noted in the area for his wood crafting skills.
